you will need 5mm 4000 or 5000 mcd l.e.d's you only need about 6 but cheaper to get 10,resister's 390ohms at 1% X2 packets and some heat shrink tube about 1 metre. just cut the postive leg off the l.e.d and leave just a little bit to left to solder the resister to it,cut the same amount off the resister on one side then solder the two cut ends together(led and resister) put some heat shrink tube on the resister leg, melt it with a lighter put it in the bulb holder bend the legs down and solder them to holder!!

Do you know if the plugs for the EF are the same as for the ED? I've been thinking of doing this for a while but haven't gotten around to it and am just looking at parts and what i'd need to do to the cluster.

part number 47902 plug straight in Arent as bright as some of the aftermarket options or custom setups but far easier to install and less time consuming - result is still good too. If u do a search round there has been loads of threads on this particular topic...from the LED setup themselves to custom making dial faces etc.

meh pics worth 1000 words, its from my gallery... Has any authorities look twice at your setup dude - spose they wouldnt see em at an inspection since there normally done in the day hours ... im sure theyd be a lil sus about it due to it being f**k bright as ...for distractions etc

it is variable, can be turned from bright to off in gradual steps, can even change the colour.
but yes at night around town their fine, but out on open unlit roads you have to turn them down or you cant see past them. |
