My mother drives a 2001 AUII Falcon and from what I see it doesn't seem like a real difficult task. Just be careful because with some vehicles the security system shuts off when removing the seat. This happens to my Meteor :(

No problem. I'm not 100% certain if it occurs in the AU series but I know many alarm systems disable when removing the seat. You might want to look into it a little further.

If you plan to fit aftermarket seating try to get ones that will adapt to the existin factory rails and or anchorage locations....it still requires engineering approval to be fully legit, legal and roadworthy but not as much headache as going custom install seats, rails, mounting points etc ;) trust me

Yeah i think AU2's have pyrotechnic seatbelt pretentioners in the seats iirc.

more to the point.. racing seats in an AU .. why?
