check battery voltage and connections, continuity between +ve and -ve terminals
check fuses, and the ones under the bonnet kick hard where the bem is (dry solder contacts are a common problem) short out the starter in and out contacts in the BEM, then turn the key to start (if that cranks then get a new bem) put +12v to the starter relay(under the bonnet), see if it clicks if none of them find the prob, run +12v directly to the starter motor (solenoid), see if she spins.

Battery is most likely dead flat. Mate had the same problem, took the battery out, got it charged properly with a decent car charger, no problems since.

yea i checked all fuses and just had a play around...got mums falcon out and jump started it and it was fine...took it for a spin round the block fine....came home stopped...try to start again and nothing...
im puttin my money on the battery is dead, but im not 100% sure cause the volts coming through the battery were 14 after i took it round the block...

ah good stuff. that would be the 14 volts coming off the alternator while the car was running right?

nah, there will be 14 volts on the terminals if your alternator is going whether theres a battery there or not. youll find that there will be barely anything if the car is off, which tells ya its not charging.

well there was still 12 volts across....but that doesnt mean much...as a aa battery will still show 1.5 and be dead flat....
shoulda paid more attention to cells and batteries when i did my trade course lol

yeah thats true. cells can be reversed pretty easily and that can f**k the whole thing. sounds like its time for a new battery...lol
