Just replaced the stock cam with a 1636 wade cam re set ecu but engine hunts how do you re set the idle its a ef2 4.0ltr

The cam shouldnt play up with the idle that much. Mine runs fine except for the occasional lumpy 'miss' at idle.

apparently you need to let the car idle for a while so the computer can learn the new settings. i think from memory it takes 15-30 minutes on idle to re-learn it all and run smooth. you should have noticed it run rough at first then smoothen out

disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes then reconnect. chock your rear wheels start the car with the hand brake on as hard as it can go. now put the car in reverse and leave for 15 minutes. this should relearn the idle as it needs to be under load in gear. this can also be done if u have disconnected the battery on any car to relearn the idle
