2 options.
drop the kframe (what i intend to do *TODAY*) or lift the engine out a bit to give it clearance. i'll go the kframe

hmm thinkin thats the best way, (my mates ef has leaky sump gasket.) so k frames a f**k easier to do than engine removal? are their any mounts on the k frame (would you need to jack up engine to allow frame to be removed?)

its to my understanding that the K frame also supports the front lower control arms and the engine mounts, so if you remove it whats going to hold your engine up and you will need to realign your front end when you refit it

Yes im sue the mount are ont the K frame and i think the rack is too. It would be similar to a VN SS i think u could use those frames that sit on the gards and hold the gear box up i supose u could ty and use it to support the engine
