I looked around nothing seems to cover the entire hole. I found a few that came close (rexton, xtrail) but they are freakin monsterous and not sleek. If i had my way I would have chosen something with a little more "statement" but this was pretty much the only clear set i could find at the wreckers. As for the work involved, yeah it did take a bit of work to get it all to happen. Im not really experenced at body work either so i was a little slow on the uptake. Backing behind the guard is actually a cut up Steggels® Chicken Tub (bigup to steggles). I cut the size hole i needed out with a jigsaw, test fit and sdjusted the hole sizes. They need to JUST fit if they are too tight the bog may crack when you have to force them in. After that we stuck the backing to the guard (loctite control gel and bog around the edges). Once that dried We layed a small layer of bog over the top side to level the plastic with the guard. Sand then fix and imperfections (if required). The basically primer putty spray and paint. |
