Ok I want to put my BA XR8 wheels on my EF XR6 as you know i will need pre au offset adaptors. This is all sweet as I have a pair but I don’t have any bolts and I want to replace my current bolts too, all up I need 40 bolts and I do not want to buy them from ford because it will cost a fortune. I work at Toyota so I can get trade priced parts so does anyone know if the Hilux studs are the same as falcons because I have seen ford rims on Hilux's before....

bolts?
wheels have studs and nuts. the studs in the front rotors on your EF are stuck there - you replace the rotors to replace them, they're not removable to be replaced seperately. who made your hub adapters? you'll probably need to hit them up for the replacement studs - you don't know what tehy used and I'll bet it's not genuine ford ones they use. I know Tempe Tyres actually use studs that have Commodore thread in there hub adapters. |

Yeah I know, I don’t want to replace my studs I just want to know if the hilux studs are the same as falcon ones because if the studs are the same then I can buy nuts to suit.. The hub adaptors have the same size studs as my wheels do so I don’t need specialized "hub adaptor nuts" because I can use stock ones, the only thing I have to be careful about is the actual length of the nuts themselves so they clear the inside of the wheels. does anyone know the specs of the EF studs so I can find some nuts for them? Cheers Mark |

go into bob janes or soemwhere like that to get the nuts. they sell falcon thread ones for cheap.
you also need to know if you need tapered or shanked nuts. Last edited by twr7cx on Mon May 21, 2007 9:17 am, edited 1 time in total. |

no they are not the same. they may or may not have the same thread though, not sure, but they are not identical. |

i've found normal standard length aftermarket nuts and lock nuts fit fine in length.

the thread on the falcon studs are 1/2" hope that helps...
i would assume the hilux might be metric 12mm(being jap) or they could be 7/16" |
