I don't beleive there is actually a topic that lists all the Tension settings for a standard single overhead cam Ford 6 cylinder as fitted to EA through to ED (Many will cross over to EF/EL but SOME are different..ie.rocker cover bolts)
So I thought I'd pull a few out starting with the engine: All measurements are in Nm Air con Compressor bolt: 35-65 Auto Transmission: 44-56 Cam Sprocket bolt: 50-60 Clutch pressure plate to flywheel:20-25 Connecting Rod nuts: 35 Coolant temp sender: 8-12 Block coolant drain plug: 34-54 **Cylinder head bolts: step one:40 step two:90 degrees Exhaust manifold to head: all: 30 studs: 30 nuts: 25 Crankshaft balancer bolt: 115-135 Engine mount to bracket and front crossmember bolt: 35-65 Engine mount bracket to cylinder block bolt: 36-65 EFI fuel rail to manifold: 18-24 Flywheel/driveplate bolt: 100-115 Front cover bolt: 9-12 Alternator support bolt/stud: 40-50 Intake manifold: all: 25 Main bearing caps: 81-95 Manual transmission: 36-50 Oil filter insert: 14-20 Oil filter: Hand tighten then 3/4 turn Oil pump to block: 16-20 Oil pump cover plate: 12-16 Sump (oil pan): 10-12 Sump drain plug: 10-25 Oil pickup tube to oil pump: 16-20 Rocker cover: 4-7 Rocker assembly bolts: 24-34 Rear mount to extension bolt: 40-50 Spark plug: 20-30 Support to rear mounting nut: 20-25 Starter motor mount bolts: 15-35 Water pump to block bolts: 20 Water pump pulley to hub bolts: 12-20 ** these are single use bolts (torque to yeild) and should be replaced each time they are undone Some of these are pedantic but are what is listed. Some of those are very different from my EF Repair manual. For instance rocker cover say 20nm torque in mine.
Rocker assembly say 25nm in mine but ive read somewhere that threading has occured at that so 20nm is recommended. Good idea though |

What breed is your repair manual?
If i did my rocker cover bolts up to 20 Nm I'd be s**t in my pants!!! I've seen these things crack with nearly no pressure on them.

I bought it when doing my stereo install as it had more detailed info on the wiring side of things compared to others |
