Ok simple questions here. Im assuming the timing marks are the bit of steel that comes out over the crankshaft pulley and the yellow mark on the crankshaft pulley??? If so when these 2 line up is that 10deg??? And if i want to advance it say to 12deg how do u measure the 2deg???
Am i getting mixed up between base an ignition timing here?? Is the advance ignition and the 10deg base??? Cheers Ryan |

Cheers Ryan I stand corrected..but with my XH, i put it in diagnostic mode..idle goes up then settles...I then make sure the pointer lines up with the mark. ( i would presume this to be zero.) Then when out of diagnostic mode, the pointer moves advanced to what i assume is 10 degrees ( + or - 2 ). |

Yep. Put it in diagnostic mode, line the marks up, then take it out of diagnostic mode and the ecu takes over.
