hi,

just wanted some advice on how much money id need for a set of four 18" tyres. im estimating 245/40/18

does that sound right? if someone could explain this abit better and give me an idea of how much id be up for that;d be great.

there was a heap of ads in the trading post selling 2nd hand sets for like $220

trading post have big lists starting from small sets of tyres up to 20 inch tyres.. mostly all stating prices beside them... although a lot of those stores are sorta on bankstown/lakemba/granville/lansvale area in sydney though...

depends what brand and model tyre you want. I'd be expecting anything from $150 per tyre to $400 per tyre depending.

I got quoted $250ea for 235/40/18 Sava Intensa's last week.

I got rorted in Albury last year though, paid $325ea for Firestone TZ100s. Had to pay that or else miss the boat to Tas.

I've seen 18's for as little as $140 a tyre.
I'm sure they aint the best brand, but it depends on how much u want to spend...

GT radials can be bought for bout $220 a tyre, i can toyo transpaths for $200 fitted and balanced, all depends on budget, cheapest brand i would go would be GT radial imo, cheap but good

Dont get savas. You pay for what you get, spend 350 ea, n you will have some decent tyres.

$200 a pop for brand spanka's! (Real good quality! :shock: )
Haha, nah you can get Falkens for around $250.
I don't usually spend too much on them as they either get scrubbed out on the front atm, or don't last too long on the rear, so...
