I managed to strip the thread on my dizzy retaining bolt..... Wondering if i could get a longer bolt n use that?? Or will i have to rethread it???

There are those rethreading kits. Looks like you will have to do that. Thats going to be a bastard of a job.

Fixed!!!! got a bolt 1/2 inch longer and she tightens up a treat now :) only the top bit of the thread was stuffed so i could still use the bottom half :)
