Hey mate

There are a few compatabilities around out there... but not many!!! Assuming you're talking plug and play.

AU might actually work in an EF... but i doubt an AUIII would, as Ford had moved to the newer immobiliser by AUII.

EB & ED ecus i believe are compatible. EF and EL V8 ecus are too, IIRC.

EF alone (some series 1 AU may work)
AU11-111 will NOT work. Smart Shield Security

The Tickford ECU's as fitted in the Fairmont Ghias and XR6's are not set up for the standard engine. Admitedly there's not much difference between the two. But think about it, the Tickford ECU is designed to be used with the Tickford spec head, camshaft and higher rating fuel pressure regulator.

If you do happen to install an AU1 series ECU on an EF,
You'll gain sequential injection
