hi guys i have this 95 ef fairmont which had a leaking heater tap which i replaced, now the heater system doesnt work (just blows normal temperature air). my mechanic said it could be that there is no vaccum in the system but he wasnt quite sure.
I think its wierd how everything was working and by replacing the heater tap and refilling the radiator no heat is blowing through. I have checked all the hoses and none are leaking or cracked so any reccomendations guys????

help me please im bloody freezing going to work in the mornings!!! :)

cheers

i just fixed mine when it wouldnt blow hot air.
make sure the heater tap is opening, like have someone turn the heater on while your looking at it and see if the tap opens, if so, do the diagnostic thing on the climate control, cant remember the 2 buttons, but that will tell you if all is good or if somthing is stuffed, as well it will calibrate the system so it all fully opens..
that fixed mine up

If the water valve is open and you've done a self test on the CC (see tech docos), temp is at 32 degrees, and the two hoses to the heater core are still cold, you'll either have a vapour lock in the cooling system (meaning filling/bleeding the system of air wasn't done properly) or there is a blockage. If your system was working fine before, then I'd guess a blockage is not very likely (but still possible).
