gday all. ive got 2 pioneer tsw306c's that i wanna build a sealed box for, for in the boot. the pioneer reccomendation is that each sub is in a 35.4litre sealed enclosure. just wondering if anyone would have measurements of a box that would fit up under the parcel shelf to suit. i went out and started measuring my own but couldnt figure out a good size to fit in accordance to the litres. any posts would be greatly appreciated. cheers

Not a problem

So yeah just to make sure, the subs face into the cabin :!:

Used mdf16 and boltered her up wit a bit of liquid nails aswell to keep it air tight and worked out ok.

Its a nice tight squized up n down to get onto the shelf but looks nice when in there

Those subs are suited to a ported enclosure around 2cu ft, tuned between 35 to 45hz.

whered you find that information? i thought they were sealed over ported use? the boxed ones made by pioneer 306CBOX are sealed?

When you model the specs you end up with something like 2cu ft tuned to 35hz as optimum.

ahh thanks for that ill have a good read through. i still think ill keep to the sealed enclosure because im more after tight bass with good clarity over jus pure loudness. thanks all for the posts

actually after reading more i might look into the porting more. i think though that to build something the size of a 4ft3 box would have no chance of fitting in behind the seats but ill see what i can find on there

there are advantages and disadvantages with both sealed and non sealed boxes but sealed sound alot easier to get to have a low note and nice punchy bass thats its advantage but it could be better... where as ported are better but u have to get everything in the design right which is hard and thats the down side... well thats what ive come to beleive by reading what rockford fosgate and jlaudio have to say about it....

this is the ported design rockford recommend
