lol, interesting user name choice
What do you mean 'wont start'? Wont crank or wont fire? Is the starter motor going? It seems unusual for this to happen. Even security stuff wouldnt kick in for just a battery change

First thing is check your electrics (considering you made an electrical change)
Make sure all your grounds are still good and check your fuses (both inside the cabin and in the engine bay) If you accidently touched +ve to GND somewhere you coulda blown something. Its very easy to do

also make sure all the wires are reconected to the battery. sometimes a wire or 2 can fall down where you cant see and they get forgotten untill the car wont start.

This is quite odd
Unfortunately I dont have much experience with probelms on BA's but I will draw from what I know about EFs and AUs Aaamm....there is a thousand things that will prevent a car from starting...however very few that are related to battery changing (very odd) Im making the assumption that your car is pretty stock? No ECU changes etc? If it aint the fuses and you didnt change anything else thats all thats really left (Unless by some freak co-incidence some other part has failed at the same time). Coils can be a problem and can die at any moment which will cause the same problems. Are you getting any spark from the leads? Least that will rule out ECU stuff and coil if it sparks.

It will have coil on plugs. your computer may have failed to reboot properly. I used to use a memory minder (house alarm battery) plugged into the lighter socket with the key on acc. This stoped the need to reprogram codes for radios ect. But it was also to stop complete power loss to the engine management and BCM systems. There have been cases where it has taken 30 mins for things like ABS, airbag and ignition systems to start working again. You could try to reset your system by disconecting the battery again for 10 mins, then reconecting again. If you are lucky your systems may reboot and you will be off and running.
This information was given to me on a training day at GMB batterys aka Exide ect. about 8 years ago. It is worth a try. Good luck.
