Hey, having a bit of trouble with my ef Fairmont. I did some work on it today which included.
Plugs Leads Air Filter Oil Filter Oil It smokes a fair bit when it is started and smokes under heavy acceleration. When it idles it is ok . The smoke is more blue than black. would the next thing to look at be valve seals? |

He said blue smoke.
Firstly how many K's is on the engine? Blue is burning oil, so its either: Stem seals (you hope) Piston Blow--By Broken Ring/s Or just plain tired. You can get a leak down test to find out where the problem lies. The bottom ends are pretty robust, it my be time for a reco head. Alas, try a heavier oil, or even an additive. but note, this is only patch up.
