Hey guys, i tried searching but didn't really help me..
the one i am talking about is the front passenger side door trim. I have removed all screws including the 3 star ones from the door handle. it is basically almost all out except for the top bit where the smart lock button is. How do i get it to pass through the hole without cutting the wire obviously? it seems the only bit holding it together is the smart lock button and the whole top part where the window is (its a beige color plastic) |

Hi
You need to grip the lock button with a pair of multi grips, use a cloth so you don't mark the button, and pull the button straight up. It will come off leaving the rod. Then the door trim should just lift off. BenJ

if the button comes off, will it go on easily as it went off?

They can be a pain to get back on. The inside has a release mechanism that extends out the bottom as you pull it off. When you put it back on, you have to push that part over the actuating rod and then push the button down firmly. This locks the button into place for normal use.

but when you put it back on, do it with the door locked so that the button sits level again
