Hey all
When in neutral/park and i give the throttle a bit of a rev it will rev up but when the revs drop it will sit at about 1200 rpm for like 3-4 seconds before it drops back down to normal idle at about 900 rpm.... Any idea why it does this or it this normal??[/code]

mine does that too and same with my mate's.
Its just a normal thing for the i6 falcons

normal and I beleive it's to do with emission controls so as not to blow smoke.
Actually thinking about it It may help the engine to live much longer as the bores wont be washed of oil when you squirt full of fuel then shut throttle it would go rich for a bit. |

its the same function a the throttle nudger on the xf's,as has been said its to reduce the emissions on deceleration...quite normal.

If I put my car in sequential 1st, and give it a boot before I come to a stop, when I chuck it back in drive, its always revving higher and I can feel it pushing against my brakes more. I think its all normal.

mine only does it on cold mornings, was told it was the auto-choke?

well technicly there is no auto choke on an injected vehicle,,it just ups the revs to stop it from stalling.

they cold start revvs is the warm up frogram alll falcons have it from ef
