Hey guys,
My window seals are getting fairly weathered and worn and was wondering if they can be replaced. I assume they can be but what will it cost? And would it be a job only professionals should do? I'm willing to have a crack at anything but I needa' know where to start. So here's two simple questions...

1) Has anyone had their seals replaced? If so, how much did it cost?

2) Has anyone replaced their window seals themselves? If so, how much did it cost and how hard was it?

I've already read the Technical Doc on repainting them but I reckon mine are a little beyond that. I tried rubbing one section back with 1500 paper but it was rubbing back way too far to make the weathering disappear.

Any help would be great... thanks!

Which window seals are you talking about? Most likely they are replaceable, and depending on which ones they are, it's a pretty easy job.

All of them! All of the rubber surrounding all of the windows... Front, rear, sides.

Yep, pretty easy to do if you're talking the external ones. They all bascially just pull off. The rear quarter window ones aren't easy though, I tried and failed! I've heard of people sanding these back, and painting them black.

Painting them seems the thing to do, I've had a look around for replacements, but they are generally just as old and worn, or in any case its just a quick fix. Ive been wanting to do this on my EF http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=20 for a while, as soon as the old man lets me have the garage for a couple of days :)
