the amp needs to be 2 ohm stable. Calling an am a 2ohm amp just means it's 2 ohm stable, an amp can be run at higher impedances, this will just result in more damping (control over cone movement) but less power

Any amp that can be bridged with a 4ohm speaker/sub is 2 ohm stable.

wire them in series and you will get 4ohm

not many people use 6x9's in thier front stage. Aurions and Navara's have them stock though.....

Ok, well even if its rear fill, it would still be mono

get two for each side
what is the point of having a speaker at 2 ohms when you can get amps to run louder than you could sit in the car at 4ohms fairly cheap and they will sound better?

You shouldn't have too many probs if your amp is good.
I had 6x9s in the tailgate till I got sick of it bashing me on the head even with new struts. I will be fitting good 6" 3 ways in the near future to my new tailgate. The old speakers are buzzing something shocking.. crappy phillips s**t |

that depends a great deal on the amp, by going from 4 to 2 ohm you halve the damping factor |

Maybe if you had a >$1500 3 way active system all running at 2 ohms (somehow), then compared it to a identical system running at 4 ohms, you might be able to pick up a difference. Maybe... The speakers are not accurate enough to know the difference, and neither are our ears even if the speakers do sound worse. |
