was just messing around with the dash diagnostic mode thingo on the EL and apparently my oil pressure is 0 ... hmmmm VERY occasionally flicks to 1 then back to 0 again.

Is this anything to be worried about....? the car runs great, ticks for ~ 10 sec on cold startup (oil light stays on for ~6-8sec), but apart from that no weird noises, oil is 20w50 multigrade.

If you have a low series dash (no oil/volts guage) then theres no way to see the pressure on the cluster.

The diagnostics that is programmed into the cluster requires an oil sender unit instead of an oil switch.

Ticking is normal for a few seconds on startup.
You could try thinner oil to reduce it tho.

Oil light staying on for 8 seconds seems a little bit too long for my liking.

ahh well that explains it... its only a futura so must not have the sender... duhhh thanks...
yeah... it does the same thing with 10w40 in it... have changed filter and all that jaz. its a little worrying but i guess not much can be done.
