howz it goin just started using the site, heaps off good s**t on here but i dont have the time or the net speed to look through 300 pages of 6 cylinder mods,,
was wondering if anyone had really modified a ea series 1 multipoint(30 years aniversery) lmao. need some tips if possible. also how would i go about putting a k/n pod filter on seing as i have the huge air box an its covering the carby???[/quote] |

if its multi pint, pull the airbox, and fit it to the end f the tube, thats what most boxcar owers do.

yeah i got the 3 speed auto but its brand new cause the factory one shat itself, how much would a manual gearbox roughly cost an the cost of installing it im just thinkin of dropping an el-ef or an au motor in it an a 3inch i think lsd ???

manual (cheap used parts) $650
manual (properly new parts, cept box) $1200 dont go 3" exhuast, unless your always running high revs ittl suck, 2.5" is good for the low reving i6 we have. exhaust will set you back $250>$1200 $250 for catback $1200 for catback a good one, hiflo cat, good headers lsd is always a good mod, as i will also change you diff gear ratio, ala making the car launch MUCH better. ~$500>800 allthis is dependant on what you can do yourself. ie read through that link i gave you, it should help |

if ur thinking of reco'ing the manual box it will be around 800 bucks for the bearings and seals but wayyy more if u have to get a gear or input shaft replaced

That's a lot to spend for little improvements. Buy an ef/el instead for $2-3 grand

firstly dont bother with a pod, the panel fitlers flow better, if ya wanna mod the ea get the multipoint conversion done with the airbox and XH snorkal, then the gearbox to manual, extractors and 2 1/2" zorst. Then do the cam....
