when doing a manual concersion why do you have to get a new spigot bearing
cant you just use the 1 from when the auto was there |

You don't need a new one! you NEED ONE preferable thats new!
Auto boxes don't require a spigot bearing installed into the crank. The manual input shaft inserts into the crank for support and thrust reasons. The auto seats in the torque convertor. Thus, needs one. Buy a Genuine one.

depends if the motor has a bearing on it some have them on them regarlees if maunal or auto

very true, some from factory have the bearing.
however I'd replace it nonetheless as the grease would have come out.

when doing a mod like this, do it right, buy new parts. saves you issues in the long run.

highly unlikely it would,,,if you've ever seen the bearing for idlers on the engine,,the spigot is almost the same and goes in the end of the crank shaft....
