i just bought this diff and was told it was a single spinner, when t took of the backing plate i saw this centre is it lsd? when i spin the pinion both axles turn the same way???? i a bit confused

This is an LSD, Note the larger diameter on the left.

This houses one side of the friction cones etc.

a baisc thing is if it is sealled can't see inside the diff other then the crown wheel she is a lsd well that how you tell a 4wd diff is (landcruiser patrol etc etc)

you can make it tighter than an lsd easilly though.

ISQUIK i hope you were serious cos that is exactly what i did with it!!!! i went to DECA yesterday and needed a lsd couldnt get one so i welded this one put in in sat arvo drove up punished it all day then drove home no worrys. now i have to pull it out and put my stocker back, a lot of work but was worth ir!!

when you open the diff back up to remove the welded centre do you have a s**t of metal fillings in there?
my other car did when i pulled it apart to put a spool in it.

you can see the old welded centre down on the ground. also upgraded diff gears to 3.9's.
i love my welder

i changed the whole housing, thought it might be easier? but the welded diff had s**t 3.08 gears was a bit s**t down low but once i got it sliding and spinning it was fine.
