if you want, I got all you need for converting CFI to MPFI, Ive got a 3.9 litre MPEFI fairmont ghia sitting in my garage... only problem would be getting it all over to you.
from what I know you need the ECU, fuel pump, injectors, fuel rail, wiring loom, the head, air box assembly, throttle body?, and probably some more stuff? Cheers

the heads are the same cfi or mpfi, you will need inlet, throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, wiring looms, ecu, fuel pump, inlet piping, airbox, snorkle, and the dizzy is highly advisable although mixed results have been acheived without changing it.

I remember seeing some old CFI heads many years ago that didn't have the cut out for the injectors in the inlet ports, maybe later ford put the same head on either model. Worth checking before attempting upgrade.

Maybe in the XF, but the carby fed XF that I had, 88 model the head had cutouts for the injectors.

I was told they were EA heads, but maybe they weren't, it was a while ago.

The injector 'cutouts' are in the inlet manifold, not the head, although the port shape is designed with the port injection in mind.
I cant imagine how MPEFI would work on the CFI Dizzy. Theres no Sync point for TDC1
