what im trying to figure out is, my ED jumps up to 2400 rpm when i give it a bootful off the line, and i was wondering if it has a hi-stall or not. so what is roughly the standard RPM of the ED 4.0 stall convertor? cheers lads

hmmm so you reckon the ED has a hi-stall then? it does jump to around the 2300-2400rpm mark. is the stall convertor like a box or something i can look at to find out if it is? lol

I would say that it has an aftermarket stall. Unfortantly you can't see the stall converter.
The stall is in the front of the gearbox, basically it is about the size of a clutch and flywheel, and sits in about the same place.

hold your foot on the brake and floor the throttle the engine will rev up to a certain point and stop, that is the stall speed
