Hi all, i have available to me a set of 17" ROH pre au rims for free, only catch is they have no tyres, and the clincher, one of them has a small hairline crack in one of the spokes about 3mm long (hasnt cracked through by the looks of it). Is there any mobs that can repair this kind of thing or should i just grab them and try to find another 4th rim?

cheers

chris

Steve's wheels in Melb do repairs. I don't know about Bris?

The cracked rim, use it for a garden hose holder, dont try to get it repaired, its not worth it.
There are plenty of places in bris that sell used wheels, you will track one down.

I have seen a lot of wheels damaged badly from accidents. I saw a full set of 19" rims completely smashed up from hitting a gutter at speed. With only a tiny amount of tyre rubber the rims take full force on the rim lip and shatter. When choosing rims make sure you buy wheels with a nice thick lip on them for strength.
