i'm in need of some ideas on my locks, they were working fine, but all of a sudden one don't work and the others are very slow. anyone got any ideas ?.

Probably need a greasing. I used WD40 on mine cause the locking motor wasnt powerful enough.
I also replaced the locks with the jaycar system because they were alot quicker. Check out the doco thats on it.

check volts, contacts etc. I also had one with a bad connection at the body plug.

does each door have a locking motor? i havn't done much work on my locks, so i wouldn't know.

Unless you have some sort of cabe system running to all of your doors (sorry just had to say it lol) then yes you have a locking motor in each door. If all of your locks started playing up at the same time you probably are suffering low voltage due to a bad contact somewhere.

ok, i've worked out it's my passanger door lock thats stuffed, could be from water, or just old age. Now, are these hard to replace and what coin am i looking at?

pretty easy to do and common at the wreckers.
I just fixed one of mine. |
