Hi all, i have a 94 ef, and yesterday arvo i went to use my cruise control and nothing happened. the light on the dash comes on but when the set button is pushed nothing happens. if any one could help me with this it would be very much appreciated.

Hey mate.
Check the cable. The plastic part that hold it to the throttle body can break. Just get a piece of metal (similar to a paper clip as such) and wind it back around. Another reason is that if you have a manual, the pedal box has started to bend pressing the deactivating button. That or your brake switch to turn it off is gone. Thats all i can think of. I had the first 2 ... When you fix the cable, keep checking it as it slowly unwinds over time

check to see if your break lights work, usually it is the brake light switch that is stuffed on the brake peddle.
thats what was stopping my cc from working in my ef bucko

Another option is your cruise buttons. I had the same problem cruise light would come on but would not engage. Changed the buttons and all works well again.

Check the above, i also worked on an XH once and the guy asked me to check the cruise, i found that the + button was stuffed, worked fine hitting the - button.... And of course we always hit the + to set it.

i fixed mine wed by retro fitting a new computer in.. works sweet now.. had never worked in the 4.5 years and 190,000km ive driven in my car..
