cam, diff gears, underdrive pulleys, bigger maf, bigger tb.

to name but a few. au heads and intake bolt straight on as well and flow a lot better than the std heads and intake. can be had for around $1500 + fitting and tuning unless you can do it yourself.

AU GT40P's are cast iron.

Being an auto i'd be concentrating on the driveline first. An upgrade of diff gears to something like 3.73:1 or 3.91:1, or even 3.45:1 if you do alot of highway driving (thats if it doesnt have that gear set as std, not sure).
Then maybe go to a larger stall convertor, something like a 2800rpm, that'll get you off the line a bit quicker, seeing as though the 4spd auto's take off has a lot to be desired.

As far as the motor goes without upgrading heads, i'd be changing to an Explorer inlet manifold, bigger t/b, bigger maf, bigger injectors etc, then a TwEECer or a Capa Eliminator chip to finish it off.
I wouldnt worry about an upgrade of cam if your not going to do the heads, these are the kind of things you want to do together, buy them to match each other.

How much you looking at spending and can you do the work yourself?
