Its cheaper to get the bearings from a bearing retailer/supplier, thats what I did.
Motion Industries in rocky have the bearing part numbers for them, I gave them the numbers, but if you need other parts, Ford can get some of them.
I rebuilt my box, wasn't too hard.

Would pay to find a cheap box for spares (same version as your current one if you can) - I found one off eBAY for $80 - it was complete but was missing an input shaft - came in very handy though, for synchros, etc.

Agree with the bearings - rear mainshaft bearing is most expensive, then the front countergear cup, then so on.
You'll need access to a couple pullers, a press, a DTI, circlip pliers, to do the job right.
It all depends on what state your current box is in now - to beef it up would mean getting better countergears, etc, which I'd think would blow your budget out a fair bit, probably not warranted if you're doing normal driving.

are the synchros all the same part number because if they are then u could use the least worn one out of an old box in the new box

There are differences(would take a page of text to explain), but most parts are interchangeable between the EA and EB-EL 6 cyl boxes.
