Hey guys and gals
Just wondering what programs work well to burn cd's for the standard AU3 cd player. I have tried both Nero and Windows native. They work sometimes, half the time the player spits them back out! Is there any programs or setting I need to make cd's that will play 'most' of the time???

hmmm they shood work. i dont know much about computers but i usually use windows media player, always works for me. not sure if that helps
|

use mp3's so Windows can convert to Cda and there ya go wma's are retared in my opinon.

Ok, so just burn through Windows Medial Player?
To date that has been the most reliable for me...but it's still a long way off desirable

Burn them as slowly as possible is usually the go for getting them to play more reliably.

A few audio sites I looked at ages ago recommended burning around 4 x - I have found this quite good as compared to recording at faster speeds.
Make sure the session is closed properly. The cd player may be a bit picky on CDR types - AU 3 we're going back around 3-4 years ?? The laser calibration may not be suitable for some CDR types - as opposed to recent units which will support CDR/CDRW, etc. You may need to experiment with CDR type to get the best reliability.

Also I have found brand of cd seems to make a difference. Never had any problems with burning onto TDK working in my mates AU cd player. Only brand that we can find that does tho.

Yea.. was gonna say also, check the brand of blanks you use, as the CD players maybe incompatible with the blanks in reading them, just trial and error..

um try music match juk ebox (now yahoo jukebox) or winamp or i tunes.
go out and buya few single cd-rs burn at full speed brands i use for soem of my older apliances are verbium or tdk |

Ok, thanks guys for all the advice, I will definitaely take it all on board, especially the speed advice.
I am currently using some spindle of un-named ones. I will definitely make the switch to something more reliable (TDK sounds the go) Thanks one and all

yea u will just find some media is a bit iff and same with palyers.

the cd players ford used with the au's were just plain s**t, the 6 stacker cd players are even worse. its a common problem for them to s**t them selvs after time
mine wont play anything unless its original, and even with original cd's the thing spits them out for no reason every 2-3 minutes.

These days TDK are low quality, give BenQ disks a shot.
