Chances are a combination of shocks being rooted and the trailing arm bushes being f**k. Also if the shocks have been f**k for a while, tyres wear out of round. This (in severe cases) can cause the diff to bounce like this. If you get Pedders to check it out, get them to show you exactly what and how it is stuffed cos otherwise they'll just tell you to repl, ace all the busshes and shocks (probably springs as well) 8-)

put air in your tyres lately?
check your tyre pressure! if its too high it can do that!
i had the same problem, someone told me this and i thought they were full of crap, untill i brang them back to the right pressure and it worked!

Gotta love the search function.. this is exactly what I wanted to ask about.

My car tramps intermittenly, but wanted to kno if a thicker rear sway bar might assist.

The car is nicely lowered, new suspension so it's not worn shocks etc, but when it tramps the rear of the car on the inside seems to lift the slightest bit, and tramping begins.

Maybe a better sway bar AND bushes? Anyone changed the rear only?
