You also need the EL hand brake diff cable and EL watts link.
Lower arms are identical, Upper arms are either shorter or the Longer (XR) ones. so... you guessed it, use the EL uppers. Alternativley you can change the hat on the diff and retain the EF setup. Reason: the EL had revised suspension and lowered the centre point of the watts link to cure 'some' body roll. The handbrake cable also travels throught the guide on the EL diff and on EF it is enclosed in a casing above the diff.

hey rushed. I have a EF XR diff sitting here that I want to put into my EL, if that diff is a 3.45 EL LSD then Im happy to swap them to save all the hassles! At least thought I would try my luck.

mooseman, sorry but this isnt my diff, and its a 3.2lsd anyway...
so the EL upper arms and the ef watts link what im confused about as i hant been able to compare the two diffs is the handbrake cable, whats the go there. as my mate picked up the diff today, and said it only came with the arms, im unsure iff the handbrake cable came with it, but suppose worst case senario what do we do if we only have an ef handbrake setup? cheers guys. p.s. were fitting this tommorow. |

I ran an ef handbrake cable on an EL diff for a while, bit dodgy but it will get you by until you can get the propper one.
