Simplicity and features galore then go for JVC I'm biased. Their DVD heads are cheap as and I've never had a problem with them.

ok my two cents now lol, I've got an Eclipse head unit, cost bout $300 bout 2 years ago only has Mp3 and a remote which is fine for me. so $300 to spend on speakers. not sure what the prices are now though prolly the same just different model units. No problems at all and to me its the best Audio system I have next to me home theater system which has Eclipse speakers in home built boxes. I'm a musician too if that means anything lol.
Also when getting a head unit (no mater what brand) and your looking at adding Amps on later look at the amount of volts being put out though the amp outputs, the higher the better. Higher = better quality sound and better signal to noise ratio (ie more signal than noise getting through to the amp). I run 5 and hardly get any noise at all at max volume |
