If you are a cheapass like me when i did my audio setup, used a 4L Tin of the paint on sound deadner for some aspects of my install. this included my bootlid.
All in all i used about 1L on the bootlid which worked out to about $10, only downside is it really smells for a while. Cover that up with a bootlining and you'll be right. i also used the same tin to do all 4 doors and doorskins, Roof, And other bits and pieces. Just another option. -Paul

i have always used expanda foam from bunnings. 13 bucks. all you have to do is allow room for the foam to expane. done it to 5 boot lids and NEVER had any warpage. i think those who have had it have packed the channels right up before it expands. you can also buy the non expanding foam which you pack tight in the channels and it will set as it is.
i need to do mine as all the welds are gone and on a fairlane its alot of flat sheet metal to be flapping around. sounds horrid. so its expanda foam for me then some flashtac from bunnings to seal the deal |
