subject changed from will it work to how does it actually get put in...

i've got this car aerial, and i need to remove the retractable aerial from the AU falcon and replace it with this rubber antenna...

how do i get in to the housing/working area to the aerial to get the stupid thing out?

that should work, as long as you don't mind losing the retractable feature from your existing aerial. those flexible ones are pretty good, had one on the old escort. no one was going to snap that one off :P

yeah, i bought it. it's actually quite a lot smaller than i thought, haha look crappy? how so? i mean, sure it looks better if its retracted when the car is off but that doesnt work anyway, because its buggered.

now.. BODY DISMANTLING GURUS

how the BLOODY HECK do i get to the aerial to get it out, plug the newie in and smack her into place?

(crossing fingers hoping you dont say anything about the wheel arches... those things are bastards for headlight bulbs let alone this)

cheers!

I believe you do it through the wheel opening.
turn your front wheels full left, and go in through there. Just need to remove some trim around the wheel arch.

yeah a few screws there might be some metal tabs to bend out. unbolt it from in the wheel arch. fold the kick panel down un plug and pull old one out new one in the same way its nott to hard
