Just got my Ticky Head...just wondering what the flow figures are compared to standard...althought this head has 20 hours of portwork on it..is the 94DT head the best SOHC head available...?

If your porting it, I'd be using the DA head with bigger valves this'll cut the porting time down.

the 94dt is ported.

Port shape/size differs from DA to DT heads.
XR has Larger Valves yes, but a slight change in port dimensions, to enhance turbulance.

You can get more from a standard head than a XR one when making it for performance, this is great cos they cost f**k all!

hmmmm id be surprised...

Well whats better then a WR2A (au head with already bigger valves)
or the Tickford EF head ported....

ive read several places AU heads flow s**t.

im currently running a full au setup series 2 motor.. bought the 94DT head worked with crane springs for $470 to chuck ontop of it with a crow 2222546 (3000-6000) i expect more then 160rwkw with that setup....

i am wrong to expect that???

also i discovered something interesting........

ONLY the the 94 DT...heads came with the bar like thing through the middle....on the front..... not the 94AB..... I also read that the 91AA heads flow the most...Now they have a bar through them....much like the 94DT head...Im welling to bet the tickford head is the 91AA head with 41mm exhaust valves with T cast on the front...

What do you think????

Whered you read 91AA has the most flow?
It's become heresay that the 91AB EB XR6 head is the 'best flowing' stock, but I've never seen flow figures.

According to them the 91AA head is the high flower....

The head that looks just like the 94DT with the rib in the middle of it...
