the V8 t5 boxes had stronger internals, but I dunno if they can handle that power. you can always get one strengthened, or as said get a T56 (6 speed manual). As for the clutch... lol, Im thinking something along the lines of 11" clutch, and be prepared to cancel your gym membership, as your left leg will be "fully buff".
I guess the best thing to do would be to have a look at cars with a similar power output, and then see what clutch they use. Out of interest - what have you got under there? Cheers

im in the process of buying all the parts, its a 4.0l I6 auto at the moment, but I hate autos!!!
So far im looking at a gt42 roller bearing turbo and all the useual stuff to go with it and around 15 -20 psi of boost! And manuals cars with big power is awsum! I do have a spare toploader laying around though..... But I really want to keep it 5 speed. I remember my xb coupe which had a 351,toploader,9inch with 3:5 and mini spool used to chirp 4th gear in a straight line!!! Also does anyone know if there is a kit anywhere to convert the fords cable clutch to hydraulic!!! Cause then I could run a heavy pressure plate without killing my leg and without putting a hole in my firewall.

Get a tremec TKO gearbox for that power.
Where ever you get the gearbox from let them tell you what clutch to suit. |
