looking for a cam for my ef motor in my xf and wondering wht things need to be changed,
ive been told full exhaust sys is rather vital with a cam but is there anything else that would need beefing up/changing? cheers |

exhaust always helps even if its just a cat back.
depending on the cam you may need ECUs or valve springs. Thats about all dude.

*upgraded valve springs are a good idea..
*possible ecu upgrade if you buy a wild profile cam.. *headers plus exhaust isnt needed.. but would be great in assisting the max gain from the cam.. |

depends on how big you go with the cam...
if you get a big cam, itll have big lift and longer duration... therefore needing valve spring for the added lift. and it will also want to push more volume, so you need the engine to breath better. so extractors, head work and air intake are necessary to get the most out of it... even for a more mild cam, exhaust, extractors and air intake, are still needed to get the most out of your setup... it depends how far you want to go... your standard setup will still work, just not as good as it could...
