im thinking that for my turbo i might install a gas vapour injection system and run on dedicated gas.Since the vapour injection gives gains over a petrol engine and has no intake restrictions and i can fit the gas myself i reckon this could be the way to go.
has anybody run vapour injection with a turbo?? or any comments?

Intake Restriction? Gas better than Petrol? LOL, petrol will always make more power than any Gas system..... however you would be able to run more boost with gas setup cheeply than on a petrol setup....

HIBOOST, the vapour injection actually does give just as much and in alot of cases more power then petrol!!! i think would work a treat with a turbo!!

Depending on what kit you go for you will have restrictions with the injectors.
I have a Tartarini system on my stock BA and have had to have the system adjusted a few times as the injectors are basically near their limit stock. Would need suitable injectors to be running turbo though. PM TurboTaxi on the F F Australia site - he's got an XR6T on injected gas.

The Tartarini system isnt the best then is it!
Nor is the OMVL Dream XXI system in my escape. I used to run Gas Injection Technology Injectors, run from the factory ECU (no interceptors). On an EB. I had amazing performance (better than petrol), No Injector Limits, Unreal Economy. Of course now Im waiting for them to get commercial. Nigel p.s. look at www.gas-injection.com |

Your a tossbag. Do your research before you bag LPG. It has 106 octane rating, and if you build you engine right and tune it right you will get as much if not more power than a petrol setup.

The kid obviously hasn't seen John Kolidis' new car. 65 stang with Jason Ghillers old motor in it (albeit somewhat freshened up). 470rwKW on LPG (Gas research setup). Throw in a s**t fudge factor for drivetrain losses and you have almost 900hp at the flywheel from a turbo 6 on LPG. Bear in mind the govt payed for most of his fuel system too so he is laughing all the way to the bank. |

I"m NO gas expert but gas can especially in n/a form take the place of air entering engine..
But with forced induction and decent induction this is less of an issue....

what are some of the preferred injection systems and approx costs? What would be the power limit on these setups?
