Thinking of upgrading the rear brakes on BA XR8.
Has anyone tried to install Territory Rear Callipers and Rotors on a BA? I know that you need to trim the backing plate needs to be trimmed to accomodate the larger calliper, are there any other issues? Any information would be much appreciated. |

If you're on fordforums, then there's a great thread in there about BA/BF/Territory brakes onto AU - same principles apply.
I've been told though that it's all straight fit, but I'm now receiving conflicting information from wreckers, so I'll have to keep investigating. |

Thanks...
Just read the entire thread. It should be a staight bolt on according to the thread but the height of the territory rotor is 8mm more than the BA. I have a suspicion the rotor may foul the backing plate. |

I run Territory brakes fine on mine, you just loose your spare as they need 17" rims to clear.. it all just bolted straight on otherwise. I don't have dust covers anymore tohugh.

fnp,
My BA MKII XR8 has 17" rims, rim size is not an issue. I have Premium (PBR C6 callipers) in the front. What car have you got? BA MkI or MkII? |

I installed the territory gear on his XR, and you will need new backing plates for the rear, as well as rotors, callipers, pads and brake hoses. |
