yeah i dont think the 5.0L v8's are very quick off the line. Iv never been beten off the line by any holden 6 and they have never been able to keep up after we have takin off either

Mate....Do NOT compare a Falcon AUTO to a Holden AUTO.... its not fair.
(EA-ED Auto stock off the mark are s**t)
(EF-EL Flog commodores full stop even autos)

The commodore weighs 200kg less and is geared like a race car.
They dont have power... and they dont need it...

Compare a Falcon Manual to a holden manual........

Then its all over... falcon will rip it apart.

So true; commo s**t power but huge gearing advantage over the Falcon, manual v manual Falcon will absolutely kill the commo. I've done the exact same race with a mates stock VR vs my stock EF mont very even off the line then pulled away strongly, in gear acceleration commo has no hope. I'm soo saving for a 5 -speed conversion but.

have a look at this. vr colum auto 180k's on the clock (filter, scoop aftermarket 15inch wheels) ((air horns???)) -vs- El hybrid 70k's on clock auto, 2 1/2 redback (filter, airbox holes, 17inch gt rims)

http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n239 ... derate.flv

is a good mate of mine. got s**t starts all night, and bad rt's. but even then he really didn't give me any problems.

i hope this thread wasn't started in reguards to any street racing???
