Hello,
I am posting this post to ask about replacing the Welsh Plugs in my AU Falcon. I have been told by my mechanic that they need replacing and I have been told by several people that if they do need replacing, it is something that cannot be ignored. I would just like to know the following things, if anyone could help me out with any information, as it would be greatly appreciated: 1) How much does it cost to have them replaced? 2) Is it difficult to do, or does it fall into the “let the mechanic have the headache” category? 3) Last but not least, the plugs themselves, is there only one sort of plug available or can I spend a bit more money and get a higher quality/better plugs i.e.: Paper air filter Vs. Foam Filter? The engine that is in my Falcon is a 6 cylinder dedicated factory LPG. It is an AU3, if that makes a difference. _Any_ information would be a great help. Thanks in advance, Peter

depends which plugs need replacing, theres 4 or 5 under the exhaust manifold, one at the rear of the motor, and 4 or 5 under the inlet manifold. They are hard to get to seal sometimes so
its probably best to leave it to a mechanic. AFAIK theres only one type of core plug avaliable. |

Yeah best off letting the mechanic to pull his hair out over it when he finds a couple stubborn plugs that like to leak because the earth and the moon isnt properly aligned lol
They are easy to do but can be a prick when they arent sitting properly |

There are 5 plugs under the Exhaust manifold, 1 at the rear of the block, and 2 on the Inlet side, and they are all the same size, 40mm.
The 3 small ones only lead to oil, so will never rust away.
