Would the turbosmart be a big enough wastegate for a t-70 on a 5.0?

imo, go bigger. probably wouldn't go any smaller than 48mm on the 5L.

It would want to be well designed manifold..
Atleast a 45* angle off main manifold...
Its often not the size its how its designed....
At higher boost levels its less of an issue....

Head out of gutter...

the reason i ask is because my way of thinking is that the majority of my exhaust gas is going to go out the wastegate due to only running 10, the apparent ' proffessional' at myy local autobarn said i wouldnt need anything bigger than a 38mm, however ive noticed several single turbo v8,s are running 2 wastegates... What should i run?

stating which single turbo your running and the boost your making would be of more help. If you have a big turbo or your running big boost the wastegate you need is smaller that someone running low boost or a small turbo

Garrett GT51r, 10psi spring but sees up to 12psi, hand made steam pipe manifold very close to tuned length
