looking at buying a shiftkit for my xh wondering what mottor is the same as the 96 xh panelvan not xr6 or xr8 version? thanks

ive had 3 diff answers shiftkits said they are sure its same as ed my mechanic said its all ef , and now i get an el answer!

well ED manifold on the non XR engine,
I think they use a EL ECU and cluster.
But the basics would be ED as the EL is not much different.

I'm 99% sure they're not EF based.
However I have heard of some XH's having a coilpack.

My xh has ED motor, EF dash, and probably EL ECU - haven't checked that :P

edit: how does the motor affect a shiftkit? they all have the same transmission

For the electrical shiftkits, it doesn't mean schmick. . . . .
Check the ECU plug, it will most likely be 60 pin, if so the EB/ED/EL setup should suit.
