My girlfriend has an EB, and whenever the ignition is on and a fuse is inserted into the wipers slot, it will blow instantly, regardless of the wiper switch position.

It still does it with the motor disconnected, so I have ruled that out. I am assuming its either the wiring, the combination switches or the BEM. Has anybody else had this kind of problem?

Had a problem like that on my NC Fairlane. When you put the wipers on you would lose power to everything and the interior light would stay on with all doors closed. Found out it was the earth wire on the wiper motor
