my car is a efII I6 auto ghia, with the tickford motor. It has done about 180k and is on gas. any suggestions/ opinions.

Yes the headwork should definitely be done if you have a lazy 1k lying around, i regret going through all the trouble of doing the head gasket and not worrying about headwork.
And the cam could be done at the same time, but its not really a big deal if you dont do it, because access is easy as removing the rocker cover in the future. |

Yes deffinently do it i have a ef fairmont, i rebuilt it and put a crow cam stage 2 and it has boosted the torque in the lower revs yet still keeping power in the high revs. it is deffinently worth it. i also shaved the head 30 thou which helped alot too.

If ya wanna boost your power and need to do a headgasket... I def agree work the head while your at it....Talk to your local headshop about what you want and they will usually give ya advise about a cam, to match head work if you go that way...
