Hello all,

A great forum. 8-)

Can someone please advise how to remove the upper dash surround on an ED Fairmont - the area around the centre vents and the trip computer.....

I don't want to pull the entire dash out - just need to get to the back of the small storage recess to the left of the trip computer.

(Need to run a cable through it to a remote control head for my comms system)

Thanks
Glenn

From memory, you first need to remove the cluster surround. Three screws along the top, and two screws under the two switch panels (boot release etc). Then, remove the stereo surround. Once done, you should see two screws on the right hand side of the bit you want out. THere will also be two screws underneath (hence the reason for removing the stereo surround). Finally, there will be one up inside the small "coin" area. Once done, it should come out.
