I am told that the cross drilled have a tendancy to break.I went with straight slotted and good pads-(check out our sponsor Hightech brakes) and braided lines,and the difference is phenominal.

thats right, for street use slotted will do the job & depending how hard you drive.... EBC or BENDIX with the braied lines & it will be a different car......But the EBC green stuff aren't disc friendly meaning that they will chew the s**t out of the rotors, but they will work, more for hard street & track days....
there are other brands of brake pads out there, I use mainly these two brands for genreal use & saloon cars....... |

Didn't DBA release a statement that this problem has been reduced with a new design.
I will have to have a look.

"only take a couple of bad stories to drag the disc's down with public being scared to commit to them..

A good option is a relatively new RDA rotor that is slotted & instead of cross drilled they have dimples ( like only the depth of tip of the drill has been used). I forget the part number. They are a gold anodised color.
I am using these with EBC Reds. Richie.

So no go on the ones from e-bay then??
How much for a set of discs?? And would I need to replace both front and back or just the front??
